What a delicious sequel to The Five Senses series. I could barely come up for air during this action-packed book. In Touch, we learn very little about the alt word because Cassie had lost all her memories. So with this one, I loved diving deeper into this world through Ellisโ€™ eyes. Like her sister, Ellis is headstrong and wonโ€™t ever give up the fight. From the first second we meet Ellis, she is fighting to survive.

By the end of the book, I was exhausted for Ellis and even Jackson. They barely got a momentโ€™s peace. I just wanted them to have one night off. The tension between those two was real good. From the first moment they come together, you just know there is something between them. Not just romance but a strong unexplainable connection.

We learn a lot about both characters in a very interesting way. Taste. I donโ€™t want to say more because this is such a huge part of Ellisโ€™ story but I loved how the author played with this theme throughout the book.

The only thing I was disappointed in is that Cassie and Gabriel werenโ€™t the stars of the show, but I absolutely loved getting to know Ellis and Jackson. Still, I do wish more of the story included the characters from book one. I miss them terribly and didnโ€™t get enough of them. I was hoping to have more of Cassie and Gabriel at the end, but there was just more action. But thatโ€™s not a bad thing. This story is about war, fighting for your life, fighting an evil that will never stop until they conquer the world so, of course the characters wonโ€™t get much of a break.
