This was an unexpected read for me but I was more than happy to help out my dear friend with a last-minute beta read. Iโ€™ve been reading such a diverse group of romance lately, and this one ticks a new box for me. Kidnapper or soul mate?

Poppy and Dom have chemistry right off the bat and Dom is not afraid to show Poppy just how he feels about her. I love that in a fictional man. Yes, please make me blush. And even though Dom is very straightforward with what he wants to do with his prey, he knows the boundaries and doesnโ€™t push Poppy.

Again, kidnapper or soul mate? Annie does a great job keeping the reader guessing the whole time. And obviously I wanted to trust him, just like Poppy trusts him unconditionally. There is something about him. Is it his stalker abilities or his charm? Not sure, but I love him.

And I loved Domโ€™s character arc in this book. You think you know him, you think you might know what heโ€™s hiding, then you doubt yourself because heโ€™s Dom and thenโ€ฆwell, I canโ€™t say more or else Iโ€™d spoil the story. But Iโ€™ll just say this, I love the ending, everything was perfect, and you get your sweet happy ending like in all of Annieโ€™s books.
