Book 2 of The Exiled Elemental series has a lot going on. Adventure, romance, and mystery. It jumps right into where we left off in the first book. And quickly becomes an exciting ride through an Earth decimated by global warming. And as the heat rises so does the chemistry.

I truly am invested in this story because itโ€™s such an intriguing concept. Humans finding a way to survive on our planet after itโ€™s become toxic and hostile. I want to know more about the history of this newly founded world government that seems to always be at each otherโ€™s throats. I want to know what these elemental beings are, and how they came to Earth. Were they always here? And who are these demigods? Why are they the guardians of the Exiled? And what is this artifact?

As with the first book, I had a hard time following the POV shifts which would sometimes happen sentence to sentence. And we got POVs of tertiary characters, which made it even harder to follow the story. Sometimes itโ€™s nice to guess the motivations of some characters or see their acts through the eyes of another character. But there are no character secrets to the reader since we get into the mind of nearly every character.

All in all, this is a thrilling adventure, and I am looking forward to reading the third book to find out what happens in this last Enviro-scape and what it is thatโ€™s coming to Earth.
