MEET THE AUTHORS
Caitriona Drexler
By day, I’m a data-driven art historian. By night, I’m a genre-hopping indie romance author. Writing has always been something I enjoyed but I never took it seriously until a few years ago. In 2021, I made a solid attempt to write a full novel and published it.
All I wanted to do was create a unique story, something different from the same tired romance plots I kept getting sucked into. My dreams fuel my plot and my emotions drive my characters. It’s an incredible feeling to get all these stories out of my head and know that other humans are reading my words.
I was born and raised in New Jersey, where I still live with my husband, son, and two cats. After graduating college with a BA in Art History, I got a job in data acquisition for an art database. Though this was not my dream museum job, I grew to love working with data, becoming obsessed with spreadsheets, pivot tables and KPIs.
And now, my new obsession is writing epic love stories full of spice. I’m still obsessed with spreadsheets, an obsession that has helped me stay organized while writing, planning, scheduling social media posts, setting deadlines, and all the other hats I wear as an indie author.
Being an indie author has become so much of who I am. Yes, I write steamy romances, but I also create my own social media content, book covers, and marketing material. I plan out my own book launches and organize my own ARC and Street Teams. I edit my manuscripts and typeset them into novel format. And honestly, I wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of my fellow indie authors.
This community I dropped into has been incredible and inspiring. A year ago I founded Indie Authors Unite on Discord. I thought maybe five of the author friends I made would join. We now have over 90 members on our Discord server! This community is seriously amazing and I’m so proud to be part of it.
Laurel Wenson
Laurel Wenson’s love of small-town life serves as inspiration for her stories about love and friendship that span generations. The Harbor Cove Brunch Club is the first novel of a series set in the fishing town of Gloucester, MA, where six middle-aged women rely on each other throughout life’s challenges.
The author has also written the Caldwell series for young adults (which older women love as well!): A Promise to Keep, A Heart to Heal, A Family to Cherish, and A Place to Belong.
Her first book, Sets on a Shoestring, is a non-fiction guidebook for children’s theater production.
Laurel lives in Bethlehem, PA, with her husband, two daughters, and a frisky feline. She is a member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group and an avid participant in National Novel Writing Month. She self-published her first book at age 60, proving it’s never too late to pursue a dream!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to read and write. In fact I still dream all the time about being about ten
years old and walking the four blocks back from the library with some new bookish treasures to devour when I got home. As an introspective kid in a big family (7 children) in an even bigger city (Manhattan), books were my refuge from chaos.
In school, I was utterly fascinated by anything to do with words and language. Flash forward and I’m a lawyer, then a new mother. Reading is now my cherished distraction from long work days and endless diapers. Thankfully, books are cheaper and easier to obtain than getting baseball or concert tickets (and may it always be so!). I read everything: historical fiction and biographies as well as contemporary fiction and non-fiction and suspense. I still do.
But soon romance, mainly contemporary and historical, became my preferred genre for escapist reading.
Then an unexpected diagnosis led to an oh shit moment. If I wanted to write romance novels, there was no time to waste. When I recovered from my illness, my determination to realize my dream of being an author grew stronger.
So I finished the manuscript which became The Marriage Ultimatum and The Wild Rose Press accepted it for publication (after a fair amount of editing).
I’ve now authored eight (mainly) contemporary romances, (one is set in the WWII era) both trad and indie published. I couldn’t be happier to be on this path. Sometimes I wish I’d started sooner, but the trade-off is my varied career and life experiences have absolutely enriched my writing. Perfect example, when I worked for the City of New York, I wore a wire for a white collar undercover sting and the emotions surrounding that unforgettable experience showed up in My Only One, my first indie published romantic suspense.
I’m a life-long New Yorker and most of my books are set in Manhattan or Brooklyn or feature a main character who hails from NYC.
If you want to read my books start with Forever in a Moment or My Only One.
What do I want to tell the world? Do the thing. Be kind. Don’t forget to laugh.

Wendy Rich Stetson
Wendy Rich Stetson is a New York City girl who still considers the Central Pennsylvania countryside to be her home. She grew up road tripping in a 1979 VW camper van, and she keeps a running list of favorite roadside attractions from coast to coast. Now an author of sweet, small-town romance, Wendy is no stranger to storytelling. She’s a Broadway and television actress, an audiobook narrator, and a mom, who was once informed by a stunt coordinator that she drove a cop car as well as any stunt woman. Wendy lives in Upper Manhattan with her family of three and rambunctious Maine Coon kitty.

Jennifer Wilck
Jennifer Wilck is an award-winning contemporary romance author for readers who are passionate about love, laughter, and happily ever after. Known for writing both Jewish and non-Jewish romances, her books feature damaged heroes, sassy and independent heroines, witty banter and hot chemistry. Jennifer’s ability to transport the reader into the scene, create characters the reader will fall in love with, and evoke a roller coaster of emotions, will hook you from the first page. You can find her books at all major online retailers in a variety of formats.
Jennifer started telling herself stories as a little girl when she couldn’t fall asleep at night. Pretty soon, her head was filled with these stories and the characters that populated them. Even as an adult, she thinks about the characters and stories at night before she falls asleep or walking the dog. Eventually, she started writing them down. Her favorite stories to write are those with smart, sassy, independent heroines; handsome, strong and slightly vulnerable heroes; and her stories always end with happily ever after.
In the real world, she’s the mother of two amazing daughters and wife of one of the smartest men she knows. She believes humor is the only way to get through the day and does not believe in sharing her chocolate.

Miriam Allenson
Award-winning author Miriam Allenson writes about smart-mouthed women and the men who love them. (She’s been told she’s a little smart-mouthed herself.)
Miriam took a dog’s age to publish her first book, FOR THE LOVE OF THE DAME. She cut the time in half to write her next book, A DUKE FOR DESSERT, and she reduced it by half again writing WHEN THE DUKE FINDS HIS HEART.
These days she’s writing about a feisty, 50-year-old heroine, Tootsie Goldberg.
The sassy sleuth is known for tweaking the rules in her fight for the little guy, which garners the delicious attention of a stoic and sexy cop, WHEN SHE GETS HOT, The first book in the Tootsie Goldberg Mysteries is currently for sale everywhere. Up for pre-order is Book Two in the series, WHEN SHE GETS SMART. Coming soon is the third book, WHEN SHE GETS BUSY.
When Miriam is not working on a book—which is almost never—she’s in the kitchen baking something, gardening on the huge 8’x4’ deck of her apartment, or adding one more character to her 500+ Pez collection (no, she does NOT eat the Pez candy.). She likes licorice but not chocolate, polenta more than pizza, and baseball, any day over football.
Miriam lives in northern New Jersey with her fabulous, supportive husband, Andy. One day they’re going to take a relaxing cruise on the River Seine. She’ll still take her laptop with her.
